Dogs for Good and JM Finn & Co
Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objective is to raise funds for two chosen charities per annum, where at least one of those charities benefits the community locally to JM Finn’s head office in London. In order to provide meaningful funds and to make a difference, we typically look to support each of our chosen charities for at least a three year period.
One of our current corporate charities is Dogs for Good and we are delighted that they have been chosen as one of three beneficiaries of The Times Christmas Charity Appeal
2016. This is tremendous recognition of all the hard work that the team at Dogs for Good has done over the years and we are delighted to be their corporate partner for this appeal.
Dogs for Good’s mission is to bring trained dogs and people together to help them overcome specific challenges and enrich and improve the lives of both.
They do this by offering support in three core ways: Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs support adults and children with a range of disabilities giving both practical support and independence. They also train autism assistance dogs which can transform the lives of families affected by autism as well as support sufferers of dementia.
The charity trains activity and therapy dogs to work with specialist handlers in communities and schools which can, alongside teachers and therapists, assist those with Special Educational Needs. Family Dogs
The PAWS Family Dog service brings together the parents and carers of children with autism to explore the helping potential that a pet dog might have within their family. If you are considering getting a dog, support is available for sourcing, choosing, handling and training a pet dog specifically to benefit a child with autism and the family as a whole.
JM Finn & Co have been a corporate partner of Dogs for Good for over three years and to date have sponsored three puppies Finn
and Jessie. Jessie is the latest puppy to benefit from JM Finn & Co’s sponsorship, which is funded by charity events across the year organised and supported by staff and matched by the firm. In addition, our clients’ generosity means we regularly have to empty the collecting boxes in our reception.
